Kaiser Fontana Medical Center
This 314-bed, 500,000 sq. ft. seven storey hospital will meet the new rigorous seismic safety standards established by the State of California under Senate Bill 1953 mandating that all hospitals remain functional after a major seismic event. The project includes a central plant of 23,000 sq. ft. and a support building of 50,000 sq. ft. housing medical offices, radiology, a pharmacy and a specialty clinic. The new hospital houses a variety of specialty services including a cardiac surgery department, a 51-bed emergency department, pediatric and neonatal ICU, inpatient dialysis unit, pediatrics, ICU, labor and delivery, cardiac cath lab and surgery.
