The TNI (The National Investor) Commercial Tower was designed to reflect the status and public image of the regionally owned investment and banking group and is located on a prominent corner site within the RMJM-designed Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) master plan. The articulated design demonstrates RMJM’s innovative style and uncompromising approach to form. Appearing as three separate components with modulated “dynamic, dancing” forms, this efficient design achieves the maximum gross floor area (GFA) for the site. Comprising 28,400 m2 of high-end office and retail space, this unique and functional building contributes a high-profile architectural feature to the ADNEC development. Featuring a conventional curtain wall facade, a series of parallel, vertical building shade elements run the full height of the building to add to the layering and articulation of the façade composition. As a result of this design feature significant reductions in the solar footprint are also achieved.
